Sylvain Distin has urged Everton to improve their winning tally away from home ahead of the New Year's Day trip to Stoke.
The Toffees head to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday with their best sequence on the road since they clinched the league title in 1985.
David Moyes' side are currently eight unbeaten on their travels but they face a tricky test when they lock horns with Tony Pulis' outfit.
Distin expects a bruising encounter against the Potters but has called on his team-mates to match their opponents' burly style.
"It is a big physical test for us," the Blues defender told the club's official website.
"Everyone knows what sort of team Stoke are, we know what to expect and we will be ready for it.
"Stoke were really hard to break down when we played them at home but that is every week in the Premier League now. Every team is difficult now. It has been like that for quite a while but I think even more so this season."
Distin wants Everton to record more away successes in the New Year and has targeted three points against a Stoke side who lost at home to Fulham last time out.
He added: "We have had eight games unbeaten on the road but for me there are too many draws. Yes we have not lost for a while but how many wins have there been?
"How many times have we got the three points? And the answer is not enough. We have to go for wins now.
"That will be the attitude at Stoke, that will be the attitude for the rest of the season and if we work hard then hopefully it will come for us."
