Blackburn Rovers' on-loan striker Mame Diouf has thanked the club's fans for staying loyal throughout their lean spell.
Rovers had gone three league outings without success prior to Tuesday's surprise 3-1 victory over West Brom at The Hawthorns.
The spell also included a change of manager with Steve Kean taking charge for the remainder of the season following Sam Allardyce's axe.
Diouf found the back of the net against The Baggies and he is delighted the support from Blackburn's faithful never wavered.
"We have been through a hard time, the team and everyone," said the Senegalese marksman.
"Even if is hard we are doing our best to make them happy. The fans have been waiting for this win and we have been looking forward to it.
"We have been playing so good, even when we have been unlucky. We have kept believing and that is what happened here.
"We are a team and a team has to have supporters behind you. If you have that it will always make you strong.
"Hopefully they will always understand us and know we always want to do our best for the club. We always want to win.
"They are always there so when we see them we are always happy to win for them."
