Wigan may be keen to keep Charles N'Zogbia, but he continues to fuel transfer speculation.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez has announced that he expects the French winger to see out the January transfer window at the DW Stadium.
However, N'Zogbia has hinted that he could yet be on his way out of the club in the New Year.
Numerous sides are reported to have expressed an interest in the 24-year-old playmaker, with reigning Ligue 1 champions Marseille among them.
N'Zogbia admits he could be tempted to head back to his homeland, having spent his entire senior career to date in England.
"Coming back to France? I don't know, it could be an interesting challenge for me," he told RMC.
"On a professional level I have never experienced the football in France because I left (for Newcastle) when I was 18.
"Let's say the door is half open. But for now there has been no formal contact from any French club."
