Morten Rasmussen's unsuccessful loan spell at Bundesliga surprise package Mainz will not necessarily come to an end in January, according to the Celtic striker's agent.
Bruchwegstadion boss Thomas Tuchel, who has guided his club to second place in the German top flight at the winter break, has said the forward does not fit into his plans.
Rasmussen is therefore expected to return to Celtic in the New Year, despite the fact that his loan agreement is in place until the end of the season.
Reports have suggested other clubs could be interested in signing the 25-year-old, but his representative, Ivan Marko Benes, claims he is not certain to leave Mainz.
"There are no doubts that Mainz have expressed that they would not mind if Morten finds a new club, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he is going to move," Benes told DR Sporten.
