Burnley boss Brian Laws has indicated he is ready to grant Brian Jensen his transfer request.
Jensen has handed in a written transfer request after losing his first-team spot to Lee Grant in recent weeks.
Grant has usurped Jensen as No.1 keeper for the last eight games and Jensen is frustrated with his lack of first-team action.
Laws will now consider sending the Dane out on loan if he can bring in a replacement for the 35-year-old.
"There is only one position they are going for and with two quality goalkeepers there's always going to be a disappointment.
"Patience is going to wear thin and January is coming up. Players will be looking at that thinking if I'm not playing I'd rather go out and play somewhere else. That's fair enough and we can understand that.
"We have said from day-one that we have got experienced players here who have been playing week-in, week-out and those who are not in the side are going to be disappointed. One reaction is to maybe try and go out on loan or try and do something about it."
