Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd remains hopeful that Aron Gunnarsson will pen a new deal.
The player, who signed for the Sky Blues from Dutch outfit AZ, insisted he wanted to stay during the summer despite turning down City's offers of a new contract.
However, Boothroyd is optimistic the Icelandic international, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, will remain with the Championship outfit.
The former Watford manager is intent on convincing the 21-year-old midfielder that his future lies at the club, who are pushing for promotion to the Premier League.
"It will get resolved at one point or another and I'm sure we can iron something out," he said.
"We're heading into January and people will be asking questions about our players, but we won't sell anybody unless we want to and we certainly don't want to sell him."
