Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen has handed in a written transfer request after losing his first-team place in recent weeks.
Jensen, who signed a new two-year contract in the summer, has been with the Clarets for over seven years and is approaching 300 appearances for the Championship club.
However, after starting the campaign as manager Brian Laws' No.1, the veteran Dane has been overlooked in favour of Lee Grant since the end of October.
Ahead of the transfer window opening, Jensen has now asked to quit Turf Moor in order to secure regular first-team football.
The Clarets are considering the 35-year-old's request and will soon make a decision on whether to grant Jensen's wish to leave.
Jensen told Onside.dk: "It's not certain that the club will accept it.
"If they don't do that, I am still under contract. The most important thing is that I get to play football."
