Ferguson impressed by trialists

Preston boss Darren Ferguson is set to offer short-term deals to Sebastien Grax and Martin Lejsal. The duo have been on trial at the Championship side over recent weeks and have done enough to convince the club that they are worthy of contracts. Graz is a French striker who is available as a free agent after being deemed surplus to requirements at St Etienne. Czech goalkeeper Lejsal will also demand no fee having been released by FC Zbrojovka Brno. Ferguson admits both men have impressed during their short time at Deepdale and feels they could be useful assets heading forward.

Aggressive

"Sebastien has done well," he said. "He is aggressive, puts a shift in, and attack is an area we're a bit light in. "The keeper ticks some of the boxes too. "At 6ft 5in, I wouldn't want a right hook off him!"
