Nancy have awarded promising full-back Samba Diakite a new three-and-a-half-year contract.
The 21-year-old penned his first professional terms with the club in December 2009 and broke into the senior side early this year.
His progress since then has been impressive, with a regular role held down at right-back.
That development has now been rewarded, with Nancy keen to keep the youngster out of the clutches of their rivals.
With his current deal set to expire in the summer, they have moved quickly to tie him down and Diakite will now remain at Stade Marcel-Picot until the summer of 2014.
