Leeds United defender Lubomir Michalik wants to extend his loan deal at Carlisle United until the end of the season.
Michalik has made 13 appearances for the Cumbrians, but his time at Brunton Park is due to end early next month.
However, the Slovakian does not believe he has a future back at Leeds and is keen to stay on with Greg Abbott's League One side.
"I would like to stay until the end of the season," said Michalik in the News & Star.
"I don't know what's happening with Leeds but I don't think they are interested in me staying there so it would be easier for me to stay at Carlisle.
"It is nice to feel wanted. That is a better feeling and I am enjoying training and playing games.
"The manager has been absolutely great and the lads in the changing room have made me feel very welcome."
