Hull City striker Craig Fagan faces a further four months on the sidelines in his battle to return from a hip injury.
Fagan has not played for the Tigers since the end of September and is now likely to be missing from Nigel Pearson's plans until April.
The 28-year-old has undergone an arthroscopy after physiotherapy and injection therapy failed to cure the problem.
However, Tigers boss Pearson has received some positive news, with Caleb Folan closing in on a comeback from a knee injury.
Folan has been out since the end of October, but has undergone an exploratory procedure to aid his recovery.
Though no date has been set for the forward's return to action, he is continuing his rehabilitation with a view to 'returning as soon as possible'.
