David Dunn has welcomed the prospect of David Bentley and Roque Santa Cruz returning to Blackburn Rovers.
Both players have been linked with a January transfer move back to Ewood Park with Sam Allardyce set to have money to spend in the forthcoming window.
Bentley joined Tottenham for £15million in 2008, while Santa Cruz went to Manchester City for £17million in July last year but neither have been able to establish themselves as first-team regulars.
And Dunn, who takes on Bolton as part of Super Sunday, would welcome the former Rovers stars back to the club with open arms.
He said: "I'd love to see them back here. They are two great players who enjoyed a great time with us.
"If they are players the club are looking at, then they would be great signings.
"I think deep down David could fancy coming back. It would be good if we can get him back here."
Dunn acknowledges the club's new owners have taken a keen interest, not only on the results, but also on how the team play as well.
However, the former England Under 21 captain admits his focus will always be on points before performance.
He added: "I have heard the owners want us to play entertaining football but it's a result business. We need to put a run together."
