Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi faces a spell on the sidelines following an ankle injury.
The Argentina international picked up the knock during the 1-0 victory against Palermo in Serie A on Monday night.
Lavezzi, who came off after 72 minutes after a clash with Cesare Bovo, had scans on his right ankle, revealing a grade one strain.
The 25-year-old is now facing a race against time to be fit for the must-win final Europa League group game at Steaua Bucharest next Wednesday.
Napoli are currently lying in third position in Group K, two points behind the second-placed Romanians.
The club have yet to indicate how long 'El Pocho' is likely to be out of action for, although he will definitely miss the return to his former club Genoa at the weekend.
