Doncaster Rovers have extended the loan spell of Sunderland striker David Healy through to January.
Healy joined Rovers at the start of November and has impressed in scoring twice in five appearances for the Championship club.
He marked his debut by scoring the winner against Millwall and also struck decisively in the 3-2 victory away to Portsmouth.
The Northern Ireland international will now remain at the Keepmoat Stadium beyond the busy festive period as he looks to get more first-team football under his belt.
The 31-year-old has not started a Premier League game for Sunderland since joining the club in 2008 and his last appearance for the Black Cats was back in January.
