Rangers midfielder Lee McCulloch believes December could prove to be decisive for their title bid.
The reigning champions are currently two points clear of Celtic at the top of the table with a game in hand after their Glasgow rivals dropped two more points at the weekend at home to Inverness.
Rangers were denied the chance to extend their lead at the top after their clash at Dundee United was postponed due to snow and McCulloch believes the five SPL fixtures they face next month could be crucial to their championship chances.
"The month of December is always an important period of the season," McCulloch said in the Evening Times.
"We hit a bit of form around this stage last season and it was obviously very important in terms of us winning the championship.
"December and January are always important because there are a lot of fixtures and it's an opportunity to give yourselves a good chance of winning the league.
"That's the way we've got to look at it."
