Skysports.com understands Chelsea youngster Michael Woods is set to join Notts County on loan.
Energetic midfielder Woods, a regular in the Blues' reserve set-up, has been brought in by Paul Ince as he looks to lift the Magpies out of the League One relegation zone.
The Meadow Lane outfit are currently fourth from bottom in the table and two points from safety, although they do hold a game in hand on most of their rivals.
Woods, 20, moved to Stamford Bridge from Leeds United in the summer of 2006 and made two substitute appearances in the FA Cup the following season.
The England Under-19 international has been hampered by knee problems during the past two campaigns but is now hoping to prove his abilities during his loan stint.
