The West Bromwich Albion striker has scored two goals in eight appearances since joining the Rams at the end of September.

Moore, who was left out of the Baggies' 25-man squad at the start of the season, could remain at Pride Park until the end of the season if both parties agree to the deal at a later date.

And Derby boss Nigel Clough would gladly extend the 24-year-old's spell with the in-form Championship outfit, if his recent comments are anything to go by.

"Luke has come into the club and been a breath of fresh air for us," said the Rams chief of the former Aston Villa performer.

"He has worked exceptionally hard and we were delighted to see him score such a stunning goal against Scunthorpe recently.

"It is fantastic news he is staying on until the end of the year and we are confident he will continue to do a job for the team."
