Giorgio Chiellini has pledged his future to Juventus by signing a new long-term deal at the club.
The Italian international's future has been the subject of speculation for some time with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United credited with an interest in acquiring his services.
Juve have been locked in talks with Chiellini about prolonging his stay in Turin and they have now agreed terms to extend his contract until the summer of 2015.
Chiellini was delighted to resolve his future and agree a new deal with the Bianconeri.
"I am very pleased with this agreement, which binds me to Juventus for the next few years," Chiellini told the club's official website.
"This is my team, and I take great satisfaction and hope to win something important.
Thanks"I thank the club for the confidence they have placed in me and have demonstrated the willingness to extend our relationship.
"I hope to become an icon of Juventus. Turin is my second home, I'm fine and I am really happy. "
Chiellini's agent Davide Lippi has denied the contract talks were protracted because of financial problems.
"It's been a long negotiation, but the problems were not economic," Lippi told calciomercato.it.
"It's the first major contract that treats the football players as the stars of other sports, it was very complex, it is a turning point.
"It was the first (contract) of all and those that follow will be made along these lines.
"We are very proud and happy. The economic agreement was never a problem."
