St Mirren goalkeeper Paul Gallacher is pushing for a recall to the first team after making a successful return from injury.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper has been out of action since October after undergoing knee surgery, forcing him to miss eight games.
Gallacher came through a practice match against Rangers on Monday and is set to return to the St Mirren squad for this weekend's clash with Hamilton.
Buddies boss Danny Lennon admits he faces a tough choice for the goalkeeping spot with Craig Samson having impressed during his spell in the side.
"Paul came through 90 minutes of the bounce back with Rangers unscathed," Lennon told the Daily Record.
No reaction"He's had no reaction in his knee to playing.
"It's great to get Paul back playing as he is a very big player for us.
"But to be fair to Samson he's come in and he's looked stronger and more comfortable with each game.
"I'll have a decision to make but I love that, you want players competing for places."
