Foxes striker the target of five clubs

Skysports.com understands that Leicester forward Matty Fryatt is being chased by a host of Football League clubs. The Foxes are expected to announce the loan signing of West Brom's Roman Bednar on Tuesday, paving the way for Fryatt's exit and sparking a surge for his signature. Championship clubs Nottingham Forest, Hull City, Swansea and Derby are keen on striking a deal for the forward, while League One outfit Southampton also have hopes of obtaining his services. Fryatt has had a prolific stay at the Foxes since his 2006 move from Walsall, but has been forced into a bench role under the new regime of Leicester boss Sven Goran Eriksson. The 24-year-old has no shortage of admirers, though, and Hull boss Nigel Pearson is believed to be leading the race, having managed Fryatt during his best years at the Walkers Stadium. Fryatt has netted four goals in 13 games this term, but has started just six times with Leicester currently lying down in 17th position in the Championship table.
