Green set for Daggers return

League One strugglers also keen to land Benyon

Skysports.com understands Dagenham are close to bringing in Peterborough's Dominic Green on loan. The 21-year-old has already taken in a spell at Rushden & Diamonds this season and looks set to be on his way out of London Road once more. Having slipped down the pecking order with the Posh, he appreciates that he needs to look elsewhere for games. A switch to Dagenham would certainly appeal, as he began his professional career at Victoria Road. The Daggers are keen to push an agreement through, with the loan window set to close next week, and hope Green can help them to clamber out of the League One relegation zone.

Benyon bid

Meanwhile, it is also understood that Dagenham have tabled a bid for Torquay's Elliot Benyon. The 23-year-old striker has been on the Gulls' books since 2007 and has been a regular source of goals during that time. The Daggers are in the market for a new frontman as they have yet to cover the summer loss of the prolific Paul Benson to Charlton.
