Hearts defender Lee Wallace hopes to make his return from injury in the Edinburgh derby against Hibernian.
Wallace tore his cruciate ligament while playing for Scotland against Lichtenstein in September.
It was initially feared the injury would sideline Wallace for the rest of the season, but the prognosis was not as bad as first feared with the left-back able to avoid undergoing surgery.
The 23-year-old is back running and he is now targeting a return for the New Year's Day showdown with Hibs at Tynecastle.
"I'm looking at another six or seven weeks. It would be a huge incentive to be back for the New Year game," said Wallace.
"It's big enough to be involved in any derby but for that match to be at the time of my comeback would be even more special."
