Scunthorpe United have extended the loan deal of Burnley midfielder Kevin McDonald for a second month.
McDonald initially joined the Iron in mid-October, but saw his debut for Ian Baraclough's side delayed by a back injury.
He started his first game for the club on Saturday against Cardiff City and impressed with a goal in the 4-2 home defeat.
Baraclough was keen to hang on to McDonald and has now secured an extension following talks with his Burnley counterpart Brian Laws.
Meanwhile, Dany N'Guessan is confident his career will benefit from his time at Glanford Park after joining Scunthorpe on loan from Leicester City last week.
N'Guessan, who also scored against Cardiff, said: "I've just come back from injury and was pleased to score. I couldn't really miss the chance, but it's nice to score a goal in your first game.
"We have a young side and played good football, hopefully we can continue that attack-wise. I found out about the move on Thursday night. I'm happy to join a Championship side.
"Scunthorpe is a good environment for me and I'm looking forward to playing my football here. I just want to focus on my football."
