Levein had named a slightly experimental squad that did not include Rangers trio Allan McGregor, Kenny Miller and Lee McCulloch.

But the squad has been further weakened by the withdrawals of Christophe Berra (knee), Chris Burke (groin), Gary Caldwell (thigh), Graham Dorrans (foot), Matt Gilks (knee), Alan Hutton (groin), James Morrison (knee), Steven Naismith (shoulder) and Steven Whittaker (knee).

However, Levein has moved quickly to find replacements by calling up Celtic's Shaun Maloney, Wigan defender Steven Caldwell, Kilmarnock's Craig Bryson and Middlesbrough midfielder Barry Robson.

The Scottish Football Association is set to add more players to the squad on Monday depending on availability.
