Dundee United striker David Goodwillie has been called up by Scotland for their friendly date with the Faroe Islands.
Craig Levein was expected to select the 21-year-old for the first time, as he is regarded as one of his country's hottest prospects.
He was a revelation for Dundee United last season and has carried that fine form into the current campaign, bagging eight goals in 11 appearances.
Goodwillie will be joined in the squad for the Pittodrie encounter by fellow youngsters Danny Wilson and Barry Bannan.
Liverpool defender Wilson and Aston Villa midfielder Bannan will also be looking to make their senior bows against the Faroes on Tuesday.
Levein has warned his young stars that their inclusion at this stage does not mean that they are assured of a regular place in the fold, but he is looking forward to seeing how they fare in the international arena.
"Everybody who is on this list, I have watched and I feel can add something to the Scotland international team," he said.
"For some of these guys it might not be that imminent, other than this match, but I want to have a look and get to know some of the guys.
"We have got some younger ones in who have been doing particularly well and it will be interesting to see how they do, not just in the match itself but also in training."
