Cardiff duo Dave Jones and Jay Bothroyd have been named the Championship's manager and player of the month for October.
Jones guided the Bluebirds to five wins from their five games last month, during which time they scored an impressive 14 goals and set the second tier alight as they took to the summit of the table.
He beat off stiff competition from counterpart Brendan Rodgers at Swansea, Coventry boss Aidy Boothroyd and Portsmouth's Steve Cotterill.
Striker Bothroyd contributed no fewer than five goals and earned rave reviews for his performances, leading to his recognition by the npower awards panel as he came in ahead of Scott Sinclair, Liam Lawrence and Lewis McGugan.
Jones and Bothroyd, who continue to be in contract negotiations with the latter's current deal set to expire at the end of this season, received their awards on Thursday at Cardiff's Vale of Glamorgan training ground.
Bothroyd has also been tipped for an England call-up when Fabio Capello names his squad for Wednesday's friendly against France at Wembley on Saturday evening.
