Real Madrid are facing up to the prospect of having midfielder Fernando Gago sidelined for a further month.
Gago injured his knee early in October and was expected to be out for an initial period of four weeks.
But the Argentine has now been dealt a further setback after it emerged he will be missing for at least another three weeks.
The 24-year-old underwent tests that revealed the blow and extends his spell on the sidelines.
He has yet to play under Real manager Jose Mourinho and will also miss Argentina's friendly against Brazil next week.
November is a big month for Real, with a clustered fixture list bringing up fixtures in the Primera Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
