Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart has been named Premier League player of the month for October, with Everton's David Moyes taking the manager of the month award.
Van der Vaart, who arrived at White Hart Lane on transfer deadline day from Real Madrid, notched three goals for Spurs last month as well as setting up another for Roman Pavlyuchenko against Fulham.
Everton collected 10 points from their four league matches this month to see Moyes land the award, beating Birmingham, Liverpool and Stoke and drawing with Spurs - whose equaliser was produced by Van der Vaart.
Van der Vaart becomes the fifth Dutchman to receive the award, following in the footsteps of compatriots Dennis Bergkamp, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie.
Moyes, meanwhile, has won the award eight times, including three times in 2010, while he has also been named as the LMA manager of the year on three occasions since taking the Toffees hot-seat in 2002.
