Gers hit-man on course for record goals campaign

Rangers striker Kenny Miller is delighted to be on course for a record season, although he was not happy with Sunday's display. Gers got the better of St Mirren at the weekend to reclaim top spot in the SPL ahead of arch-rivals Celtic after a 3-1 win. Miller's goal at the weekend took his tally to an incredible 14 league goals from 10 starts and one substitute appearance. The Edinburgh-born hit-man knows he can raise his game, however, he is delighted with his output to date this season.

Best total

"There is no doubt I am on course for my best total in a season because I've had a good start," said Miller. "But I have to be honest and say that I was disappointed with the way I played. I felt as though I was off the pace a wee bit. "Of course, I was delighted with the three points for the team and the goal I scored but a bit disappointed overall with my own play. "I suppose if you don't score goals, you get judged on that and when you do score goals, you end up getting judged on your performance. "I'm happy I have a decent amount of goals and I want to keep that going but I also want to improve my level of performance."
