Nottingham Forest defender Chris Gunter has signed a new deal at the City Ground.
The Welsh international has inked a contract extension to keep him at Forest until 2014.
Gunter has established himself as a key player in Billy Davies' squad since arriving in the summer of 2009 from Tottenham after initially joining on loan.
The 21-year-old was delighted to win a new deal and he admits things have gone better than expected for him at Forest.
"I'm really pleased," Gunter told the club's official website. "My time at Forest has gone as well as I could have expected.
"The education I got at Tottenham was invaluable but I felt I needed to apply that in games, which is what I hope I've done at Forest.
"I felt I had a really good first full season at Forest but the aim now is to improve because no-one really cares about what has happened in the past."
