AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was involved in a training bust-up with team-mate Oguchi Onyewu on Friday.
The two players came to blows and had to be separated by the rest of the squad after Sweden international Ibrahimovic reportedly recklessly tackled United States defender Onyewu from behind.
The American, who missed a year of action with a knee problem and has not featured for the Serie A club this term, allegedly reacted angrily and the pair grappled before being pulled apart.
However, Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani insists the pair have already put the episode behind them.
"The fight was animated, but the incident is over," Galliani was quoted as saying on the Italian club's official website.
"The two players cleared up their disagreement.
"I'm happy when I see players pumped up, I'm happier seeing fiery training sessions than boring ones."
