Lennon delighted to have defender back

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon insists David Barron's availability comes as a welcome boost for the SPL strugglers. The Buddies secured a much-needed 2-1 win over Aberdeen last time out, but they remain bottom in Scotland's top flight. Lennon has been without defender Barron all season as he has been sidelined with a knee injury. However, he is now back in training with the Paisley club's youngsters and Lennon is looking forward to having him available for selection.

Confidence

"It's just a case of building up his confidence after the injury," said Lennon. "It's been very frustrating for David as he didn't know what was causing it but we seem to be getting there. "David is a big player for the club, he is a good athlete and it will be great to get him back as we have a big run of important games coming up."
