Sir Alex Ferguson lauded the emerging talent of Gabriel Obertan after the Frenchman struck in Manchester United's 3-0 win over Bursaspor.
The Red Devils are within touching distance of the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League following their Group C success in Turkey.
Darren Fletcher and Bebe were also on target while Obertan, who joined United from Bordeaux in 2009, impressed throughout the encounter and capped the display with a terrific goal.
Ferguson told Sky Sports: "Obertan has had a couple of injuries. He is only 21. He is developing very well, getting much stronger.
"He is a real good talent, his goal tonight showed that."
Ferguson felt Fletcher's goal netted three minutes into the second half proved key as United ended Bursaspor's hopes of making the next phase.
He said: "We got a goal early in the second half and that makes a difference.
"From that point we were basically in control of the match, although they had a couple of half-chances. You can never be sure, but the second goal killed the match."
There was a sour tinge to the result after winger Nani sustained a groin injury and Fletcher also picked up an ankle problem.
Ferguson confirmed: "It is difficult to say (how long Nani will be out). We will see what he is like tomorrow.
"Darren Fletcher also picked up an ankle injury today."
