Nottingham Forest striker Robert Earnshaw has revealed he is in talks over a new deal at the City Ground.
Earnshaw's current deal expires in the summer and he could leave on a free transfer.
However, the Wales international is hoping to extend his stay at Forest as he is happy at the club.
"We have opened talks on the (contract) situation over the last couple of weeks and we will see how that goes," Earnshaw told the Nottingham Post.
"This place feels good and I want to be here. Ever since I have been here it has been so good. I want to progress personally and I want to see this team pushing to go to the Premier League.
"I have seen this club go from League One and getting promotion to all of a sudden seeing a big change around. We are now one of the top teams in this league and we are looking to take the next step."
