Seasiders striker keen to break scoring drought

Blackpool striker DJ Campbell is backing himself to end his goalscoring drought sooner rather than later. Since his superb goal against Newcastle at St James' Park the former Leicester City man has gone five league matches without netting. Campbell has been pleased with his displays as the Seasiders have played the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City recently. However, the 28-year-old is now looking to get back on the scoresheet, starting with their weekend clash against West Brom.

More goals

"I am pleased with my performances, but obviously disappointed not to have a few more goals," he told the Blackpool Gazette. "I should have had a few more really, because I've had a few good chances which I should have put away. "I believe in myself, I just need to be patient. I feel like I'm inches away. "I feel there is a good run coming on and a few goals on the way, so I just have to keep getting in the right places and fingers crossed it will happen."
