Bluebirds ace hopes to fire club to Premier League

Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd believes he is currently in the best form of his life. The 28-year-old forward bagged a brace in the 4-0 demolition of Leeds United on Monday night to take his season's tally to 11 goals in 13 games. Bothroyd is taking every game as it comes and he hopes to fire the Bluebirds to promotion this term, rather than focus on personal achievements. "I feel I'm playing better than ever, but it's not about how many goals I score this season," he told the Wales Online. "I am not thinking about how many goals I can score. I love scoring, but this is a team effort. It doesn't matter who puts the ball in the net. "We all know where we want to be next season and promotion is the target but we can't get carried away yet. "We are happy with the way things are going and we are playing free-flowing football and that's great." Cardiff are currently joint top of the Championship alongside QPR and take on Norwich City at the weekend.
