Bolton manager Owen Coyle is confident that he will hold onto his side's star players, who have been linked with moves away from the Reebok Stadium.
Defender Gary Cahill is reportedly being tracked by Tottenham, while Johan Elmander could leave for nothing when his contract expires in the summer.
Coyle remains adamant that he won't lose any key players in January and believes that the summer is the best time for signings.
"I don't see January as a great time to move for any player, particularly the big transfers," Coyle said.
"The best time for that is the summer, when it allows the player five or six weeks to bed in at that club as a big signing, which Gary would fit into that bracket.
"You are there for one or two days, you're thrust in, and all of a sudden you have to be on top of your game."
