Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal is confident defender Martin Demichelis will not be going anywhere in the January transfer window.
Demichelis' agent, Jorge Cyterszpiler, recently claimed the Argentina international is poised to depart the German champions in the New Year after attracting interest from clubs in England, Spain and Italy.
Having previously established himself as a first-team regular at the Allianz Arena, 29-year-old Demichelis has dropped down Van Gaal's pecking order this campaign, failing to make a Bundesliga start
However, Van Gaal insists Demichelis, who is under contract at Bayern until June 2012, remains a key part of his future plans and is keen to keep hold of the stopper.
"Martin Demichelis has proved last season, which was a very successful campaign, that he is able to play a part for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga competition," Van Gaal told Deutsche Presseagentur.
"I have had no plan to let Martin Demichelis leave Bayern Munich and I have no idea why I should be changing my opinion on that."
