Nigel Clough has admitted he would love to keep Luke Moore at Derby beyond his initial loan spell.
The striker joined the Rams from West Brom in September on a 29-day emergency deal, with the agreement set to expire after Saturday's game against Millwall.
Moore has started only one game - the goalless draw at Swansea - and made three substitute appearances.
However, Clough has been pleased with the 24-year-old's contribution and is planning to speak to West Brom about a possible extension.
"Luke hasn't played that much but we have been delighted with him," said Clough.
"I think he has been very good when he has come on, which is not always easy, and two weeks of the four we have had him was taken up by the international break.
"We are going to have a chat with West Brom to see what the situation is and see if we can do something."
Moore was made available for a loan move after being left out of Roberto Di Matteo's 25-man squad for the first half of the Premier League season.
