Taye Taiwo looks set to extend his stay with Olympique Marseille after revealing he wants to sign a new deal at the club.
The Nigeria international has been at the Ligue 1 champions since 2004 and has been a mainstay in the backline of the State Velodrome club.
Taiwo's contract expires this summer but the 25-year-old left-back believes he will remain at Marseille beyond the current campaign.
Speaking to RMC radio station he said: "I am waiting for Marseille, if they make me a good offer, I will sign a new contract with them. I am a veteran player for the club, I am the elder at the club, all players found me here."
Marseille President Claude Dassier also gave positive indications that the French side are keen for the defender to stay with them, adding: "It will help the club and Taiwo as well, everyone will be a winner."
