Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns is hoping to be back in action from his knee injury sooner than expected.
Danns is recovering from a medial knee ligament problem he picked up in a challenge with Cardiff keeper Tom Heaton.
The midfielder was expected to be out of action for around eight weeks, but he is hoping to beat the recovery date.
"It wasn't the best news but it's one of them, it happens in football so I'm keeping my head up now and trying to get back quicker than anticipated," Danns told the club's official website.
"I could be running in two weeks, straight line running. From there it's about strengthening and getting the confidence to twist and turn on the knee.
"Hopefully, I will be back quicker than the eight weeks as was said."
