Paynter and Parker make returns in reserves

Leeds boss Simon Grayson was happy to see Billy Paynter and Ben Parker step up their returns with 45 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday. Parker has not played a first-team game since April and Paynter is yet to make his competitive Leeds debut since his move from Swindon in the summer. The pair completed 45 minutes on their return from long-term injuries and Grayson was happy with what he saw. "It was always our intentions for Ben and Billy to play the opening 45 minutes," Grayson told the club's official website. "It's the start of the recovery for them both and I was pleased with them and how they came through. It's a slow process, particularly in Ben's case, given that he hasn't had a lot of football over the past year or so, but we'll keep arranging games."
