Sergio Busquets is staying patient as he prepares to begin negotiations over a contract extension.
The defensive midfielder became part of the senior Barcelona squad in 2008 after progressing through the youth ranks.
He has gone on to establish himself as a key player in the side, while he also helped Spain to World Cup glory this summer.
Despite his achievements Busquets's salary is not thought to be on a par with some of the club's higher earners, and Barca are ready to discuss a new deal.
The 22-year-old is happy to listen to their proposal before deciding whether to put pen to paper.
"I want to know the offer from Barcelona and evaluate this," he said.
"I am calm because I have waited two years."
Busquets insists he is not paying any attention to reports of interest from foreign clubs, saying: "My head is in Barca."
