Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is determined to establish himself as a regular in Roberto Mancini's side.
Lescott was recalled to the starting XI for Sunday's win over Newcastle after two games on the bench.
The England international saw his debut season at Eastlands interrupted by two serious injuries and he has now vowed to keep him spot in the side after overcoming a leg problem.
"My leg's fine now - I was only out for a week this time, so that's not too bad," Lescott told the club's official website.
"I've got back in the team and now I just want to keep myself fit and get a good run of games behind me."
