Midfielder Jem Karacan is hoping to win a Turkey call-up in the wake of his stunner for Reading.
The 21-year-old Under-21 international scored a spectacular equaliser in The Royals' 1-1 draw with Preston at the weekend.
Karacan is now targeting a full international cap, but feels he may have to wait until after their Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Turkey tackle Germany and Azerbaijan over the next week and Karacan feels head coach Gus Hiddink will go with experienced players.
Inexperience
"I was hoping to get a full Turkey call up but they've got a tough game away to Germany," explained Karacan.
"So I'm sure Mr Hiddink will be going for a bit more experience. But hopefully the friendly after that I'll be pushing.
"I'll be playing my heart out every week to try and get a call up for that."
