Scotland will be without Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot for their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Spain.
The 26-year-old is struggling with the foot injury that curtailed his weekend involvement against Hearts and has been sent home.
Scotland boss Craig Levein also has worries over the fitness of Lee McCulloch, Matt Gilks, Alan Hutton and Jay McEveley.
Levein is confident that players will be able to overcome their minor knocks as he aims to help the nation qualify for the European Championship.
"Players are being assessed at this moment," said Levein. "I can tell you Kirk Broadfoot will go back to his club.
"He has a foot problem and it is safest if he isn't involved. Lee is another that I don't know about yet.
"Matt Gilks has a problem with a dead leg, Alan Hutton is a bit sore in his groin and Jay McEveley has a problem as well.
"These are not serious injuries but we will have to let the medical team do the work and then they can inform me what they think I should do."
