McCulloch and Broadfoot to have injuries assessed

Lee McCulloch and Kirk Broadfoot are injury concerns for Scotland's upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers after missing Rangers' win at Hearts. Midfielder McCulloch sat out the 2-1 success at Tynecastle due to a hip injury, while Broadfoot was sidelined by a bruised foot. McCulloch requires a scan to ascertain the extent of his hip problem, but he will report to the Scotland team hotel to be assessed by the medical staff. Broadfoot will also link up with the rest of the squad to have the severity of his injury checked by the national team's staff. Scotland face two crunch games in Group I as Craig Levein's side are away to the Czech Republic next Friday before playing host to world and European champions Spain on 12th October. McCulloch is suspended for the Czech Republic encounter after picking up two yellow cards in Scotland's opening two games in the group. Meanwhile, Gers striker Nikica Jelavic is a concern for Croatia's upcoming qualifiers after being forced off against Hearts with a knee injury. Jelavic was replaced in the 77th minute and will be assessed by Croatia ahead of next Saturday's Group F clash with Israel.
