Deputy boss feels forward adds 'different dimension' to side

Assistant manager Eddie Newton is delighted with the positivity Peter Odemwingie has brought to West Brom. The Nigeria forward, who arrived at the Hawthorns from Lokomotiv Moscow in the summer, has been an instant hit for the Baggies, playing a key role in last weekend's shock 3-2 win at Arsenal. Odemwingie has netted three goals in five games this season, one of which was against the Gunners, and Newton has praised his all-round play.

Positivity

"Peter brings a positivity to the changing room, he is very positive as a man, very positive," said Newton. "He mixes with everybody really well and as a player he has got loads of pace which threatens the defence and he is very positive, he will shoot on sight, he is very clever in his movements, so he does give us a different dimension when he plays." Despite their Arsenal heroics, Newton says the Baggies have been staying grounded in training this week ahead of their visit to Bolton on Saturday. "We will continue to do the same as we have been doing from the beginning of the season and what we were doing last season, working really hard on the training field," he added. "The management team are working very hard analysing the opposition, doing all the stuff that we have to do and we will continue to do the same thing. "It's been a great week, you're not going to go to the Emirates on a regular basis and get a victory so we told the boys to enjoy it and rightly so, but it's back to the job as usual when you come back in and we've been training well this week." Swedish defender Jonas Olsson admits last weekend's win has boosted the Baggies' confidence, but has urged his team-mates against becoming complacent.
Goal
"If you can win at the Emirates I think you can beat almost any team," said Olsson. "But we need to keep our feet on the ground and still work towards our main goal, which is staying up and that's still our prime goal. "It's up to us to be humble still and realise that we need to give it our best every game to get something out of Arsenal away or Bolton at home. "That's the way I feel we have to approach it and Bolton obviously will be aware of our results the last few weeks, so I don't think they will underestimate us and we will not underestimate them either."
