Manchester City's goalscoring hero Adam Johnson was pleased with his display in their 1-1 Europa League draw with Juventus.
The Old Lady led in Eastlands thanks to Vincenzo Iaquina's fine strike, although Johnson's neat off-the-ball run and finish ensured City earned a point.
The former Middlesbrough winger was one of City's main threats against the Italians and he was pleased with his efforts after being given the nod to start.
Johnson has emerged off the bench in recent games and was happy to start from the off and play the full 90 minutes.
"I've been working on it a bit in training, running across defenders. The manager (Roberto Mancini) wants me to do it more," said Johnson.
"It was a great pass by Yaya Toure, my first touch took it away from the goalkeeper and I thought I might need another..."
"I haven't played much in recent weeks so I was delighted to start tonight."
On the game match against the Italian giants, he added: "It was hard.
"Italian sides obviously defend well but I think we were the better team.
"In the second half they were pegged in their own half for most of it, I think we should have won the game.
"We want to win every competition we play. We won our last game (against Chelsea in the Premier League) and hopefully we can continue strongly in this competition."
