The Brazil-born hit-man has won over half a century of caps for his adopted country but has not featured in almost two years.

Kuranyi fell out with Low after leaving at half-time in a match with Russia in 2008, a move that failed to amuse the manager.

Low has claimed he prefers "players who fit in better with his system", comments that have left the forward a little bemused.

Always scored

The 28-year-old says he has scored goals in numerous formations, although he accepts his situation will not change until Low departs.

"I do not think I will be nominated again by Low," he told Bild.

"Otherwise he would have done so long ago. It is no longer a realistic possibility. I don't understand it.

"When you look at my career, you can see that I have played successfully in different systems and have always scored goals."
